Preston is now 31!

My oh so very new precious husband is 31 today! I decided to give 31 reasons why I married my darling!


1. He is HOT.

2. He is soooo smart.

3. The nicest anyone has ever treated me in my life.

4. He loves his family.

5. He is not a trash talker at all.

6. He loves the gospel.

7. He doesn't let me get away with my nonsense

8. He is "handy"

9. He stands his grounds when its important

10. His eyes are so dreamy

11. He is emotional without being a cry baby

13. Dude has a ton of energy

14. He is a really good at compromising

15. He is great with money...(just what I needed)

16. When it comes to me he is very in tune with what I need.

17. He is going to be an amazing baby daddy:)

18. He is going to let me have animals!!!!

19. I love the way he looks at me. like I am the most important person in earth.

20. I love how athletic he is

21. I also love how clumsy he is

22. I love how he is the first one to remember family prayers.

23. Preston has the best most addictive smile I have ever seen.

26. He loves treats like cake and ice cream way more than I do. (it makes me feel better about drinking my coke):)

27. He has an amazing family.

28. He is "the most playful uncle" my family has ever had.

29. He is not awkward in social situations... that's huge! :)

31. He makes this world a better place to everyone who gets a chance to get to know him.

I get more and more thankful every day that I found him. I got quite the catch. I made out like a bandit!

Turning 27

After about the age 21 I was no longer excited for my birthday. Sad but true. I used to have a birthday week. I would celebrate for 7 days because I was turning one year older.

I remember last year I was crying all day long because I was getting so old and what did I have to show for myself, but a few more lines?

This birthday this year was a little different. I was driving across the country from Ohio to Arizona moving Preston. I had a great birthday! I couldn't help but be so happy at where I was and who I was with. I know it sounds super cheese but it's true. I did of course have about 4 celebrations on my way and when I got home.

Making Plans

After we got married I did what all married girls do right? Start a blog:) Sooo this is it. Starting now it's my new crazy life!

So to make a super fabulous long story short...

Preston and I got set up. Neither one of us really wanted to go on a blind date but our families kinda insisted. Sarah my sister had been bothering me about it for months. I told Sarah I am not going to make any effort so if she wants to set it up when we are both in town..... fine! Preston was staying in Tucson while he was doing a rotation for the month. He was staying with long time friends of my family the Smiths. The Smiths also happen to be his sister in-laws Mary's family. Mary also happens to be my little sisters Kami's life long best friend. Like Sarah, Mary would keep bothering Preston about going out with me. Sarah and Mary had a plan. Mary even included Preston's name on the family chore board saying Preston's chore was to call Lindsey! Preston had a couple of days left in his rotation and I was going to be in Tucson for some family thing... so he called me. Preston and I talked for about four hours our first conversation. The rest is history. We went out a few times and he went back to Columbus. The next thing you know we are doing long distance, seeing each other whenever we can, saying I love you, and MAKING PLANS. I don't know how this happened... two stubborn people finding each other some bizarre way. Now I am the happiest girl in the world!
